The great Indian countryside

Traveling in a train, with a sleeper class ticket is a nice way of getting some glimpses of the Indian countryside.

I wish one could stay in such a place for a longer amount of time and experience a way of life far different from the metro cities.

New age letter-boxes

These letter-boxes have been designed in IIT. They supposedly protect the mail from rainwater. Made of steel, they are illuminated from the inside and sport advertisements on the sides.

The traditional red cylindrical design is so typical for letter-boxes, that these look more like snazzy dustbins to me!

Lantana

The Lantana flowers (inflorescence actually) have a special place in my heart... or should I say in my genes :-)

Rise and shine

It is a new day in IITB, and I welcome it by admiring the sunrise from the terrace of my hostel. This was one of the rare days when I got up before the Sun did. Usually, I get to witness the sunrise only after a night-out.
